Local print estimate inputs for macOS

Inspect the PDF.
Price with judgment.

Group real page sizes, surface bleed and orientation signals, separate grayscale from probable color, and keep every unknown explicit before a human builds the quote.

Inside the actual app

Facts in the center. Judgment at the edge.

The native workspace keeps untouched source hashes and the batch on the left, the actual PDF and page evidence in the center, and bounded estimate inputs, finishing signals and the human-review boundary on the right.

Real interface, real sample records, no fabricated product render.

Built for the real handoff

One focused app.
Four jobs done.

01

Small print shops

Turn incoming customer PDFs into consistent, reviewable inputs before a person prepares the estimate.

02

Digital print counters

Count sizes and probable-color signals quickly while keeping billing decisions outside the app.

03

Production coordinators

Catch mixed formats, landscape pages and bleed relationships before handing work to estimating.

04

Freelance print buyers

Attach portable PDF facts to a quote request without uploading client artwork to another service.

A clear workflow

From first record
to finished handoff.

01

Choose PDFs or a folder

PressQuote discovers the batch locally, records source hashes and reads each real page box without changing the documents.

02

Review the bounded evidence

Confirm size groups, orientation, bleed relationships and grayscale, probable-color or unknown page signals. Presets change presentation only.

03

Export inputs for the estimator

Reverify sources twice and write CSV, JSON, Markdown and PDF reports plus a portable checksum manifest with no absolute source paths.

Focused by design

Useful depth.
No account clutter.

01

Page boxes and size groups

Inspect media, crop, trim, bleed and art geometry; group repeated dimensions and flag mixed-size jobs.

02

Transparent color heuristic

Use a documented bounded RGB render sample while preserving Separation, DeviceN and unsupported evidence as unknown.

03

Finishing signals

Surface portrait, landscape, square, distinct bleed, declared-without-extra bleed and invalid geometry for review.

04

Presentation-only presets

Save familiar units and report detail without letting a preset change evidence or calculate a price.

05

Portable estimate-input bundle

Export CSV, PDF, Markdown and JSON plus a receipt and SHA-256 manifest after source revalidation.

PressQuote FAQ

What does PressQuote inspect?+

It reads local PDF page counts, media/crop/trim/bleed boxes, dimensions, orientation and a bounded rendered color signal. It groups sizes and keeps unsupported evidence visible as unknown.

Does PressQuote calculate what I should charge?+

No. PressQuote exports estimate inputs, never a customer price. Stock, run length, finishing, waste, press setup, labor, margin and every commercial decision remain with your estimator.

Is probable color the same as a billable color page?+

No. Probable color means a bounded local render contained visible chroma. It is not ink coverage, separation output, RIP evidence or a guarantee of how a printer will bill the page.

What happens when color evidence is ambiguous?+

Separation, DeviceN, Pattern, unsupported ICC or Indexed evidence, invalid geometry and failed renders stay unknown. PressQuote never silently converts an unknown into grayscale.

Can I inspect a folder of PDFs?+

Yes. Choose files, a folder or nested folders. PressQuote discovers PDFs locally, hashes every source and shows each document as part of one reviewable batch.

What do the exports contain?+

The portable bundle includes CSV, JSON, Markdown and PDF estimate-input reports, a receipt and a SHA-256 manifest. Reports contain source names and hashes, but never absolute source paths.

How much will PressQuote cost?+

The price is US$39 as a one-time purchase for one Mac, with no subscription. Secure checkout and DMG delivery are handled by Polar.
